The opening reception celebrating "The Art of Michael Warth" at The Pump House Center For The Arts was a success, bringing me great joy as I reconnected with numerous individuals, some of whom I had not encountered in quite some time. The experience was enriched by the pleasure of making new acquaintances as well. The overwhelming support and the kind expressions shared with me during the opening truly touched my heart, leaving me with a deep sense of humility.
During the two-hour opening, a number of artworks found new homes through sales. This evoked a mix of emotions within me – excitement, tinged with a touch of sadness. Many of these pieces hold a special place in my heart, each one intricately woven with memories of the time I spent creating them. They serve as time capsules, preserving the essence of those moments. Yet, despite the bittersweet sentiment, I'm genuinely delighted to witness these works entrusted to patrons, hopeful that they'll continue to appreciate and cherish them for years ahead. After all, the essence of art thrives in its shared existence.

My friend Gunner Barnes took some photographs to assist me in recording the events of the evening, which then culminated in a sort of informal gathering downtown at Old Capitol Brewing. The taproom resonated with the music of Cory Breth as we relished delicious beverages and engaged in wonderful conversations. In all, it was a great way to end the reception, the evening fun, and on “International Beer Day” nonetheless. I’d like to say that was planned but no, I just got lucky.

I must express that the evening held much enjoyment for me, both as an artist sharing my creative works and simply being in the company of friends and family. I wish to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended the opening reception. My thanks also go to the Pump House and their dedicated staff, as well as Globe Furniture for their sponsorship of the exhibit. I appreciate the hospitality from the wonderful team at Old Capitol Brewing, and I'm grateful to Cory Breth for allowing us to be part of his event at the OCB taproom. Special thanks to Gunner Barnes for capturing some fantastic photos of the evening. The exhibit will be on display at the Pump House until August 31st. I invite you to experience the collection in its entirety - seeing all the pieces together is truly a captivating sight.
