History is more than just dates and names—it’s the light falling on a forgotten landscape, the stories hidden in old portraits, the legacies of people who shaped a place but never made the textbooks. The Ohio Legacy Project is my attempt to reclaim that history through art, research, and storytelling. It’s part historical investigation, part artistic revival—an expedition into the past to paint a deeper picture of Ohio’s cultural roots.
This isn’t about dry facts in a textbook—it’s about living, breathing history, rediscovered one brushstroke at a time.
The Vision
Ohio’s artistic and cultural history is rich, but so much of it has been overlooked or forgotten. My goal is to uncover and document the stories that have shaped this region, not just with words, but through the power of visual storytelling. By researching, sketching, and painting, I aim to reconnect with the past and bring these narratives to life in a way that feels immediate, compelling, and accessible.
This project is personal. It’s an artist’s journey through time, exploring the landscapes, people, and historical moments that define Ohio’s legacy.
The Approach
This project is built on:
Deep Research – Digging through archives, visiting historical sites, and collaborating with historians to ensure accuracy.
Fine Art & Storytelling – Creating original paintings that visualize historical narratives, turning research into powerful imagery.
Engagement with Experts – Working alongside historians, researchers, and storytellers who can provide insights that enrich the project.
Content & Documentation – Sharing findings through blog posts, video content, and social media to make the discoveries accessible to a wider audience.
